Introducing...The blue stone and the girl!

I have a new story called, The Blue stone Girl.  Here is just the first paragraph of what is about to come next!

The start of the Journey              Chapter 1There was a village in the deep, dark woods called Motfer.  It was a small village on the banks of the river Ronday.  All of the adults in the village were mean people as soon as the sun set.  You may wonder why they would start becoming mean.  It was because of the gemstone that was supposedly hidden in the mountains.  The legends described it as a tiny, oval shaped, blue stone which radiated purple light.  It resided in the cave on the Saeker Mountains.  The kids had a secret cave where they hid until morning.  One night, an adventurous girl named Martine decided to find the jewel and break it.  She decided to start out in the morning so she could get as far as possible into the woods before night fell.  All she took was: a candle, twelve matches, and a piece of cheese, some rope, and a knife.  She set out into the woods, having no idea about the dangers she was about to face.
